A shop with two counters lost sales whenever the modem rebooted. End-of-day totals and the POS Systems record were reconciled by hand.
Our solution
Separate the till network from guest Wi-Fi, turn on offline selling, connect e-invoicing, and put the till and router on a UPS. Cashiers practised a power cut before go-live.
The result
The shop keeps selling through a short outage and syncs when the connection returns. End-of-day totals match the POS Systems record.
Project Clinic
Clinic records with an off-site backup
The challenge
A clinic kept notes and billing on one desktop. Power cuts corrupted files, and the only backup was a flash disk in the drawer.
Our solution
Move the working copy onto a small server, add an off-site backup, write the order for bringing the router, server and front desk back, and limit who can export patient lists.
The result
A deleted folder can be restored without waiting for a specialist, and the front desk knows which machine comes on first.
Project SACCO
SACCO user access and a tested recovery
The challenge
Branch staff shared one login. The board asked how the SACCO would recover, and there was no written plan.
Our solution
Give people their own accounts, turn on multi-factor for admins, back up the core system, and run a restore with the IT lead. Document the result.
The result
The board receives a dated restore report. Former staff can be removed the same day.
